Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service (“Terms”) carefully before using the Worty app (“App”, “Service”). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

These Terms apply together with our Privacy Policy.

1. Operator

The Service is provided by the developer of the Worty app. For legal and user questions, use the support / developer contact section on the Google Play listing, and see our Legal notice (Impressum).

2. Description of the Service

Worty is an educational mobile app for learning German vocabulary. It includes translation and dictionary hints, a personal word list, practice reminders, and related learning features.

The Service is not a professional translation service, a certified language course, or an emergency communication tool. Translations are intended for learning and may be inaccurate or incomplete.

The App is distributed through Google Play.

3. Age and eligibility

• The App is intended for a general audience of learners. Children should use it under the supervision of a parent or guardian.
• You must have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms in your country, or a parent or guardian must accept them on your behalf.
• Do not use the App where doing so is prohibited by applicable law.

4. Account

If you create an account, you agree to provide accurate information and keep your access secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. We may restrict or remove access if you breach these Terms or if there is a security risk. Account deletion is described in the Privacy Policy and on the Account deletion page.

5. Purchases (if available)

Paid features may be offered through Google Play Billing. Payment is processed by Google. Refunds are governed by Google Play policies and applicable consumer law.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the App unlawfully or in a way that harms others;
• attempt to hack, overload, or circumvent API or security limits;
• enter search content that infringes third-party rights;
• use reminders or the overlay quiz in a way that interferes with safety (for example, while driving).

7. Your content

Words and phrases you enter and save remain yours. You grant us a limited license to process that content only as needed to operate the Service (including sending search queries to translation / dictionary providers and syncing if you use an account).

8. Third-party services

The App may contact third-party services (translation, dictionary, authentication, analytics, Google Play). Those services have their own terms and privacy policies.

9. Disclaimer of warranties and limitation of liability

The Service is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, we do not warrant uninterrupted operation, translation accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose. Liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms. The current version is published on this page with a new date. Material changes may also appear in the app update description.
